I had to learn. [Barok ain't here to order people around for his meals.] It's nothing special, just the basics to get by.

Makes sense... I usually end up breaking the pans or whatever if I get too rushed, so I can't really do much other than the basics, too.

Can make fried rice and curry—that's about it for anything "special."

...At least that sounds something like a dish. [He just, cook things until edible.]

But really, I can help with the more delicate process of cooking if you like. Or assist in anything. [He really doesn't understand the concept that staying at a friend's home, doesn't mean he needs to return the favor in some way.]

I don't wanna make you do anything since you're a guest... But it would probably help.

You're not making me do anything, I want to do something. I get restless when I'm not doing something productive.

Then I appreciate the help. And if you need anything or whatever, just let me know. Ah, I didn't really know if the spare sheets in the house are that good, so I went ahead and bought some new ones. Everything else should be fine.

[Oh.] You didn't have to. [This man will sleep anywhere. In fact, he may just collapse on a couch the moment he has an opportunity to rest.] But... thanks. You're doing more than enough by giving me a place to stay.

[He looks Shizuo over for a moment.] If there's one thing I would like to do, I'd like to examine you when we're back.

[Just a dismissive wave of the hand.]

It's fine. But when you mean examine...you're still worried about my injuries? I told you it's fine.

The way you walk, you're putting more weight on your right side.

I am?

[He didn't even realize until Kazuma pointed it out.]

...It'll be fine if I just lie down or something.

Good idea. Then I can examine you. [He's not letting this go as he starts walking.]

....................You're really not going to let this go... All right, fine.

[BIG SIGH. What a mom.]

[Never. Although once they reach Shizuo's place, he'll be distracted by other things. He's coming to the realization that he's never actually been in Shizuo's home.]

...Is there anything I should know? [House rules?]

[....Hm. Well it's Kazuma so—]

Not really. This house has more electric appliances, so if you're not sure how something works just ask. But it's pretty basic.

Ah, the basement is some old lab that I haven't touched since I moved in. No idea what's down there now.

A lab? [That's probably a given considering his essence, but consider his curiosity piqued.]

Do you mind if I have a look at some point?

Sure. You might understand it more than me. My essence isn't that fond of it, anyway, so I just stay out.

Right. [A thing to do after examining Shizuo. Once they arrive at his place, he'll wait for Shizuo to open the door and enter his home. He doesn't get very far in, stopping in the foyer to take in his surroundings.]

[Shizuo is just going ahead and walking on through, stopping only a few steps in when he realizes Kazuma had stopped.]

I'm gonna put this stuff in the kitchen. Rooms are upstairs if you want to put down your things.

...All right. [He heard him, but he's going to wander into one of the sitting rooms instead while Shizuo is away. The air felt a bit charged wherever he went, probably from the influx of electrical appliances. Something he can look into later...after a nap. He has found the sofa and has dropped his things to immediately lay down on it.]

[It won't take him too long, and after putting up the food he takes the back stairs to the next floor to deliver the sheets and other things he bought for Kazuma. Even if it might not be necessary, it's probably a good idea to have these extras, anyway.

However, he doesn't see Kazuma or any of his things in the room, so he'll back out to the front. ...Huh, where did he go? When he finally reaches the sitting room and spots him on the sofa, he starts to call to him but then thinks better of it.

Is he asleep?

Frowning a little, he'll walk over and look over him.]

[Shizuo will see he's indeed fast asleep. He clearly flopped onto the sofa, sprawled out without a care, like he just had a long day of work. Though normally a light sleeper, this seems like a much deeper rest, to the point he probably doesn't notice Shizuo's presence.]

[Seeing Kazuma so deep asleep, he let's out a small, helpless sigh before he looks around. Grabbing a nearby blanket, he carefully drapes it over him before he goes to grab his things and take them up.]

[He'd express his appreciation if he could. He'll pull on the blankets to curl up in at some point though. It'll be a few hours before he finally wakes up, with a numbing headache. His sleep was not all peaceful, as that voice eventually starts whispering about going to London again. But it seems faint this time, replace instead with brutal visions and a tempting voice of Hyde.

You'll soon be mine...we'll have so much fun together once you've given in to your inner desires.

He moans, brushing a hand down his face as he sits up on the sofa and wrapped in the blanket. Though he slept for so long, he still felt tired. He looks around, not seeing Shizuo. Was it already nighttime? Giving himself another minute, he'll get up, fold the blanket to leave on the sofa, and start wandering around to locate Shizo.

Or at least, try. The was a new place for him, and he didn't exactly know where he was going. So if Shizuo happens to hear someone tumbling down the stairs, that might be Kazuma in need of help.]

[With Kazuma out like a light and not wanting to wake him up, Shizuo initially busied himself trying to get his room ready and other things situated. After all, that's what a good host would do, right? After that, he went around the house to check and make sure everything was functioning properly. Should he turn up the heat a little? There were several vents and radiators all over the house, but it could still get drafty. Maybe a little more power couldn't hurt.

Occasionally he would pass through the room to check on Kazuma, sometimes contemplating if he should wake him. But thinking he might need the rest, he always stepped away. Finally with no other task to do, he went to the kitchen to pull out some sweet crackers to snack on while reading a book. Normally he'd read in the sitting room, but uh. That might be a little weird and he wouldn't want to disturb him.

So he's in the middle of reading when he hears a sudden crash from the stairs.]

The hell—

[That couldn't...???]

Kazuma!?

[JUST GOING TO RUSH ON OVER PLEASE DON'T BE DEAD.]

[He's thankfully not dead. Shizuo will find him halfway down the stairs. A lamp on the wall appeared lopsided, indicating he must have grabbed onto it to stop himself.]

Oh, there you are. [Despite his current predicament of laying on the stairs, he greets Shizuo like this was no big deal.]
