[He might have leaned forward a little to make it easier for her. A little smile plays on his face. What a gal to be kissing someone who just got slobbered on.]
Of course. [He's trying to get his arm around her, but Fang can be heard whining.] Ah...it seems like someone doesn't want to wait.
[ Susato comes down in the following moments, turning at a particularly loud whining from Fang. She glances at her, and eventually smiles with some sympathy, the poor girl. Maybe she is hungry, too? ]
Why don't we share a meal with her out on the porch today? You can enjoy a shower while I get everything ready.
Can you meet us out there? [ Not that she can guarantee Fang with have anything to left of her meal by the time he's done, mind you. ]
[Well she stopped whinning and seems to accept the proposal.] Heh, that works for me too. I could use the fresh air.
[Well, Susato isn't quite free from him as he sneaks in a quick peck on the head.] I will see you both out on the porch then? [Fang doesn't really have anything she needs to do and perfectly fine just hovering around until Kazuma leaves the room.]
[ Susato beams. By now, she know exactly what Fang likes to eat and how she likes it, so Susato is already mentally going over what they might have leftover simply laying around their fridge to be cooked, without having to go downstairs to the restaurant. She gives a nod, and a wave at Fang as the dragon continues to hover. ]
[ By the time Kazuma finds himself on the porch, there will be a traditional Japanese breakfast waiting for him. They've learned all sorts of recipes, both from all around their world and some from others, but she thought a little taste of home would be appreciated after such a long, expected sleep.
He will find that his favorite tea is still steaming hot, along with the food in both their bowls, and Susato herself can be seen scooping some sort of meat drenched in sauce into Fang's bowl. ]
[Time to himself, minus the dragon watching outside. But he definitely needed this moment to put himself back together without further embarrassing himself. He'll try not to take too long, but he's definitely going at some leisurely pace to get ready. The shower was definitely the great pick me up he needed.
Eventually he'll grace the porch of his presence, dressed in light clothing. Fang swings around from the side of the house to join the both of them.]
Mmm, smells good out here. [His nose getting a whiff of that Japanse breakfast. Definitely the right call on Susato to make this.] Looks just as good as home. [Fang's attention is at least slightly moving away from just Kazuma now that he's out here and there's a meat bowl being prepared for her.]
[ There's the sound of familiar tippy-taps as Kazuma speaks. Upon seeing what Susato is doing, Fang immediately knows the deal and is waiting (not-so-)patiently for Susato to set down the bowl, not unlike a very large dog. It gets an affectionate chuckle out of Susato every time, but maybe it's her good spirits that cause it to sound a little airier and lighter today. ]
Hehe, you are home.
[ She knows Kazuma misses Japan, but hopefully he appreciates the reminder. As long as she is around, she will always try to recreate that feeling for him.
Finally, she sets Fang's breakfast in the same corner near her bed, and then moves so she can join Kazuma on their sofa at the tea table. ]
[Fang is doing her best, can't do anything about the drooling. Seeing two her favorite people together and awake, she's content munching away on her meal. Kazuma will give her a passing headpat before joining Susato at the table.]
I suppose I am. [He waits for Susato to be seated before joining her.] Itadakimasu.
[ Susato watches as he sits next to her, then waits for him to say the usual words before she says them herself, placing her hands together in appreciation. Her eyes remained closed for a while longer. After that, there's just the sound of spoon clinking against glass, and a couple raindrops seem to drip onto their roof cover overhead.
[He's trying to be polite about the way he eats, but after a bite, it hits him how starved he was. Eating a little more quickly while trying not to scarf it all down.]
Delicious. [Is this how Ryunosuke feels when presented a plate of food? Those few droplets gradually turns into a light spring shower.]
[ She visibly beams at his approval, though before she can say much in the way of return, she swallows a bite and immediately looks up when the droplets become a spring drizzle. Not even the weather souring can bring her down, however. In that moment, she can only think of the flowers that will follow. ]
Ah... Rain makes for perfect reading weather, don't you think?
Do you remember how we spoke of the reading nooks before you fell asleep?
[ Susato pauses in her eating, for a moment thinking: Should I have been working on it? ...Truth be told, however, 76 seemed to be busy with his own thing, and she didn't want to bother him with the heavy lifting. She takes another bite, chewing thoughtfully before swallowing, then answers: ]
Um, well, yes... A little bit.
I've rearranged the dining area a tad to create a space for it, and I think I've found a tree we can use in the garden that's not too small or large. It still needs to be hollowed out, however, and the shelves in the dining area still need to be built.
Ah, so you left me with the heavy lifting. [Teasing, of course he would have to do that.]
I'm sure with me and Jack on it, we'll get it setup and built in no time. [Reaper who?] But...I like to look over the restaurant and anything else I've missed before getting on with it. Like the fish.
[ It was always going to be Kazuma or Jack, or both of them, come on. Although Susato could probably make use of that clearly awesome upper body strength of hers. If he'd let her that is.
And what is she gonna do, say no to him seeing his own restaurant? Pfft. She nods. ]
Of course. The snakes will be happy to see you as well. [ Aura's been especially whiny, and Susato had to bring her up to the room so that she could curl against him, but you didn't hear that from her.
Ah, they must have kept you up. [A lot of them are very needy. He's taking a glance, just to see if any decided to sneak up here and lurk.
It is indeed still raining, but Kazuma isn't bothered. He's sure Susato appreciates his not!sleeping company right now. His feet might have bumped hers while he shifts in his seat.]
So you mostly just had to deal with restless animals?
[ They did indeed keep her up, but she was thankful for the company in the end. Who else would she be able to speak with as she drifted off to sleep? Well, besides the characters from the stories she reads, but it's not the same.
The rain creates a very cozy atmosphere, but there also seems to be a dreamy mist that comes with it, obscuring visibility as she tries to enjoy the view. ]
There were some other things. The wisps that we saw floating about town, for instance. And... what happened with Trahearne.
She stops eating for a second. Clearly concentrating, because it is important how she'll explain this. In the end, she decides that getting straight to the point would be best on both counts. She speaks clearly, despite everything. ]
Well, the wisps were mentioned on the dream board. They were dreamwalkers, just like you and me, whose dreamotion was depleted upon death, and it left them stranded, waiting for it to return. We were able to help one find peace.
[ She nods, taking note of the twitch of his nose. If he disapproves, he hasn't said anything, and she doesn't exactly wish to offer him the opportunity. She tightens her grip on her teacup slightly. ]
I, I even learned to make a bow and arrow out of light!
[ Susato gives him a nod. She can't say she was expecting anything quite like that, but with a team effort, she seems proud to be able to answer in the affirmative. ]
We received charms that will guide us if we are ever lost. Perhaps you can use it the next time you find yourself in the Wildlands.
[ Everyone in the "party," anyway. She tilts her head at the yawn (really?), but doesn't say anything more. (Maybe she's boring him.) ]
That's alright! I didn't mean right now.
[ ......So that leaves Trahearne.
Well, and the Starflower, and the corgi puppy Eustace has on hold for her there. But she can leave that for the end. While she decides, Fang has finished her bowl and pokes her head curiously to see what the both of them are eating. ]
