Perhaps Susato feels a little strangely about sleeping next to someone who refuses to wake, and yet she finds herself lulled to sleep by the sound and comfort of his heartbeat. His breathing, the way his chest rises and falls. It reminds herself that he'll come back to her someday, and she's had to hold onto that.
On March 22nd, and every day afterβwhenever Kazuma should wakeβhe will feel the weight of a small plush beneath his arm. It bears a likeness to his cat doll transformation from Halloween, complete with a ponytail, and though there is no mask, she has added a hooded cape.
